thank you for turning my dull, lonely Christmas into a special, unforgettable one. I wouldn't trade that moment for anything...
You're one of a kind, klo..

a sweet encounter
12252008'2300 - 12262008'1500
staring at his handsome face
is a habit i'd like to keep
like heroin,
it's quite addictive
he had such a perfect gentle face
i was captivated
he looked even more handsome
from inches apart
his eyes were a bit tired
probably due to the beer we've had hours before
or perhaps because we've been awake
for hours and hours
just content at staring at each other
between casual talks
and silly thoughts
his lips were incredibly sexy
I just melt whenever he smiles
i never thought we would be
that close to each other
so close our noses almost touched
against the cold December night
we both curled up in my small bed
shared my pillow and my blanket
he looked at me
with sleepy eyes half closed
his gaze meets mine
almost teasing
yet holding back
I tried to meet his gaze
I tried to read his mind
but his expression
was something I could not quite comprehend
then I look away before he could read mine
I must have been dreaming in my sleep
but I felt his hand on my back
his lips touched my forehead
it was just the sweetest thing...
i wished the clock would stop ticking
if I could freeze time
or relive a moment
I would sure pick that one
over and over...
and here I am saying "I won't fall"
who am I kidding... sigh..
stolen moments
... PRELUDE ...
00012252008000---2300h
00012262008000---1500h
...her awkward greetings
...her short side glances
...her happy thoughts
...her growing fondness
...his charming dimples
...his handsome reflection
...his winsome smile
...his prefect teeth
...his white jersey
...his khaki shorts
...she's bubbling
...he's listening
...a set of Red Horse beer
...some oily sisig
...some washroom trips
...she's watching him upclose
...admiring his well-toned physique
...he looked so tall beside her
...they crossed the street
...with him shifting to the danger side of the road
...his hand gentle on her back
...what a gentleman
how can she not like him?!...

so unpredictable...
how can i forget him
when everytime i try to avoid him
he surprises me with a hint of tact and gentleness
Just when i least expect it...
sometimes, he could be so presumptuous
harsh and insensitive
at other times, he could be so kind
so endearing, so protective, so gentle
ahh! he's so intriguing...
how can i forget him
when everytime he says something
my heart leaps, my senses fall down to my knees....
sigh...
makapangaghoy man sad ta'g "hahayyyyy...."
kacomplicated ba sad ani niya oi! giggles...

because i'm 25
1. Never ever skip a meal again
2. Drink lots and lots of water
3. Talk less
4. Listen more
5. Don't use the word hate unless neccessary
6. Be patient
7. Be more patient
8. Be on time! always!
9. Smile more often
10. Greet friends and strangers
11. Try something you've always been afraid to do, once in a while
12. Just be happy and embrace the feeling (no regrets! no expectations!)
13. Then move on
14. Cry, only when you can't take it anymore
15. Express yourself. Paint. Draw. Make poems.
16. Sing
17. Dance like no one is watching.
18. Forgive, even if they don't ask for it
19. Do the laundry
20. Learn to cook
21. Treat your new roommate out
22. Meet old friends
23. Or at least send them a message once in a while
24. Cherish every conversation. You never know, it could be your last...

broken...
She shed a tear
Just a single tear
Just once
And it's over
She had been a fool
such a fool
to easily give in
to those sweet, short,
beguiling moments
She knew he would be there
as everyone is
She walked around
her feet is sore
her mind oblivious to it
her eyes scanned through
hundreds of unfamiliar faces
helplessly hoping
to catch a glimpse of him
She had missed him so bad
he had no idea
an hour passed...
two hours...
three hours...
she sat down and sighed
her knees weak
her feet numbed
her spirit low
she said a silent prayer
something made her look to her right
her eyes now fixed on the escalator
her heart began pounding
so loud, she could almost hear it
Among the crowd was a very familiar face
How could she not recognize
That gentle face who stole a few good hours of her sleep
That adorable man who often wandered through her dreams
And oh, that lazy smile he has, almost unnoticeable
So pecualiar, yet so enchanting
She recalled how often she had melted in his steady gaze
Whenever his eyes meet hers
From those little talks they've had
She had often wondered how it would feel
To be kissed by him,
To have his arms around her
He is a towering figure in his dark brown jacket
He looked magnificent
She had always admired the way he walks,
His long, powerful strides
He went off the escalator
Then her heart sank
She was not prepared for what she'd see
He is with a girl!
She's a little short
She's pretty
Her long, black hair tied in a ponytail
She's wearing a shirt and white shorts
Her skin is fair
From a distance, she looks just like the girl in the photos
Yes, she does.
All along, she thought the girl had been away
and not coming back.
She could feel her face turning red
She wished she knew better
The girl had not been away after all
And she had been so foolish to believe otherwise
So foolish to think that she stood a chance
So foolish to believe that someone like him
Would want to be with someone like her
She felt a dozen daggers piercing through her heart
She could hardly breathe
Then, it all dawned to her
She is just caught up in his game
Nothing but a consummate prey
Caught up in a spider's web
And to add to her anguish,
She had been a willing, clueless prey
To his silent mockery
She hated herself
And her gullible, weak little heart
Her naivete, once again,
Had failed her to see things
The way they really are
She turned away
And promised never to look back
She wanted to run
Yet her long dress keeps her
even from walking fast
Her good friend, who kept her company, smiled at her
Yet she couldn't smile back
She could feel her eyes getting misty
She could feel her tears at the corner of her eyes,
about to fall
She looked up and held it back
She sought the comfort of her once peaceful abode
Yet all she could feel was loneliness
She felt so humiliated
She could only imagine
How pathetic she must have been to him
She even showed him her stupid sketches
on a scratch paper
How disgusting that must have been
He must have had a good laugh at it
She even told him how he made her feel
When they first met
How stupid of her to bare her heart so easily
And much to her chagrin, she just realized
She is madly in love with him
How it happened and why
Is something she could not quite comprehend
Her heart, once again, had betrayed her
She could not stop thinking about him
She could memorize his face, his elusive smile, his voice
She didn't see this coming
She had always thought these things were impossible
She should have known better
She should have...
She buried her face under her pillow
And let her silent tears pour down like rain
Allowed herself to wallow in self-pity and desolation
She's crying over a man who doesn't have the slightest idea
Of how he had made her feel
She once told him, she is beginning to really like him
That if he were setting a trap,
Then she is falling right into it
He told her not to fall!
Yes, he warned her
Yet she was as stubborn as a pig
She indulged her stupid whim
She should have listened to him
She shed tears
NOT just a single tear
NOT just once
But tomorrow
maybe
just maybe
She would smile again...
And it will be over...
Just a single tear
Just once
And it's over
She had been a fool
such a fool

five good things today
112608
"In the long run the pessimist may be proved right, but the optimist has a better time on the trip." Daniel L. Reardon
Quite right. Surely, life can't be all that bad...So instead of dwelling on negative thoughts, why not embrace the world with an open mind and an open heart. If you look at the world with thoughts of love, full of commpassion, then you have little chance to live in despair. If you look at yourself with understanding and unconditional love, you have no reason to be unhappy.
So i decided to list at least five good things that happen every day. And as soon as i started writing, i found out that so many good things happen everyday but i just tend to overlookthem because i'm too busy or too preoccupied with things that don't really matter.
So here's a few for today:
1. My roommate was nice enough to unplug my cellphone charger. I totally forgot about it because i was in hurry to go to work, i was almost late. The battery could have been damaged if she waited for me to come back. And she also gave me hershey's dark chocolate bars and a golden pomelo from Davao.
2. The Christmas lights all over Asiatown IT Park were already lit up and they look so dazzling in different colors hanging on the trees. I truly enjoyed the short walk to work today.
3. I received a few messages from KLO today. My heart skipped a beat when i woke up and saw his name on my phone.
4. My sister sent me a message asking how i was doing.
5. I was able to sleep for eight hours today. Usually, I only get about four or five hours of sleep.
